I am an American moving back to the States after living in London for a year and a half. I am looking for a medium to large city with lots of history, a great theatre scene and housing that is dog-friendly. I'm hoping to start up a new theatre and maybe go back to school for my PhD. I was thinking Washington DC, Boston or San Francisco, but it also might be nice to have some wide open spaces after living in the concrete jungle. Any suggestions? Specific neighborhoods welcome!
What is the best city to move to?imax theater

CALGARY, ALBERTA CANADA
San Antone, actually north of it, in Bulverde. Nice little town close enough to the city.
Los Angeles of course we have everything you need here
Santa Fe, NM, or if you can go a little smaller, Taos. Both are very art and theater friendly with lots of history, but in a very non-anglo way that you might appreciate after all that time in England. Plus both are close to both the desert and the mountains and are naturally very pretty.
