Dance lessons?

I'm currently in my first year studying Drama at college, and would like to do Musical Theatre at university, the only trouble is I can't dance at all! I'm going to begin dance lessons soon, and am confident in my acting and singing, so I would like to take a gap year before going to uni to get my dancing experience closer to my acting and singing. What options are there for this gap year? should i stay at home and do dance lessons just at weekends, or am i better off moving to london, as they might have better courses there or something?

The best courses are usually the "weekend away" type courses, and most of these are in one particular genre (eg Salsa, jive etc). If you wanted to make your gap year entirely about dancing any large city would do and most others would be cheaper than London. You could then take diferent classes each night (tap on Monda, Jive on tuesday and so on, and then do the longer courses whereever they are.

I do not know of any gap year placements specifically about dancing but start with these
