Can anyone give me adviece on how to get into acting?

this question has been asked before i know. im 20 and am in my second year at uni living in london. the only real acting experience i have is in a few high school plays. my major problem is lack of knowledge and no clue where to get it. i would like to act professionally whether it be theatre film or television but have not a clue where to get started. i haven't got any professional experience so i have nothing for a resume to send to an agancy. i really want to get started on this but am just having trouble finding my way in. if anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

You need experience before you worry about agents, the best training is theatre, your school is probably doing theatre, go audition there participate in everything you can.

Look up all the theatres in your area, find out when they are having audtions.

Audition for everything.

Get involved with everything.

As for the resume, you can have absolutely nothing except your abilites/special skills and get an agent. Just put down what you have, as well as special skills, along with your photograph and send it in. If the agent really likes your photograph, he'll look at your resume and still possibly want to consider you for representation.

I've been learning in a free theatre course for about 1 year. After that, the class created a theatre group "A Vintena Vadia" (Portugal). That was great! Good luck!
